Bank Dispute / Chargeback Reality: NOT THE SAME AS REFUNDS.
Card disputes can take up to HALF-A-YEAR (6 months) to fully resolve, because your bank has to run a standard formal investigation with multiple parties and multiple review steps.
Not to mention the time it takes for us to record, format, and send in evidence (on top of our growing schedule of supporting the program & students like you within it). Then credit card companies & banks review it and send back counters. This can happen for multiple cycles. Back and forth for what feels like eternity. This is why it can take up to half-a-year to resolve.
Note: in many cases, your bank may give you a temporary (provisional) credit in that time. But this credit is not final. Because merchants that submit evidence win disputes on average 45% of the time... your credit commonly gets reversed 45% of the time. So keeping that credit is essentially a coin-flip.
